Paweł Brożek is a member of Hanover’s State Opera Hanover since 2017 (after having been a member of “Young Opera” from 2015 up to 2017 performing a wide ranging repertoire from early music up to contemporary compositions). His repertoire includes Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Roudi in Rossini‘s Guillaume Tell, Pietro in Schreker‘s Die Gezeichneten, Wenzel in Smetana‘s The Bartered Bride, Steuermann in Wagner‘s Der fliegende Holländer and Ein junger Seemann in Wagner‘s Tristan und Isolde. In 2016, he sang his first Lenski in Tchaikovsky’s Jewgeni Onegin at Teatr Wielki in Poznań, followed by his first Tamino in the new production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte in 2017.

Paweł Brożek, born in Poland in 1991, has studied singing at the Academy of Music in Kraków and was taught by Marek Rzepka. He refined his vocal training in master classes with Jerzy Artysz, Anita Garanca, Ryszard Karczykowski, Izabela Kłosińsa, Wladimir Kuzmienko and Rudolf Piernay. The tenor was a member of the Young Artists Programme (Opera Academy) of Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera – in Warszawa. 

Tenor Paweł Brożek was awarded several prizes: the First Prize at the Internationalen Giulio Perotti Singing Competition 2012 in Ueckermünde and Second Prize at Imrich Godin Singing Competition for Young Singers in Vrable. The „Viktor Popov“ Choir Academy of Arts in Moscow awarded him for the best Interpretation of a Russian Aria, Giulio Perotti Award donated from the town of Ueckermünde for the “best tenor”. In 2015, he was awarded a Special Prize at the IV International J. E. J. Reszke Vocal Competition in Poland. He also won the First Prize and the prize for the “Best Tenor of the Competiton” at the Jan Kiepura National Singing Competition.

Paweł Brożek has performed under the baton of Gabriel Chmura, Allesandro De Marchi, Mark Rhode, Anna Szostak, Benjamin Reiners, Ivan Repušić, Andreas Spering, Tomasz Tokarczyk, Will Humburg, Valtteri Rauhalammi, Dirk Kaftan .
